Garden Styles!

Kitchen Gardens

A place to grow your kitchen ingredients!

Raised beds or in ground, a kitchen garden should be in a convenient location to easily grab veggies, fruits and herbs for your culinary creations. Creating a space to connect to your food and nature.

Permaculture

Certified at Occidental Arts and Ecology Center in 2021, I am excited to put this inspiring design practice into reality. Permaculture is a design method to create ecologically regenerative and socially just human systems that are mutually beneficial to earthlings and the ecosystem they are part of.

Perennial Gardens

A more common style of garden in Rocky Mountain homes and businesses. Filled with beautiful perennial and annual plants and flowers to create a space to relax and enjoy your surroundings. We can create native and water wise gardens as well!

“We used Sierra for our vegetable gardens and absolutely LOVED her professionalism! She was responsive to my questions and quick to run over with frost cloths to save our plants from inclement weather. I cannot say enough great things about Sierra and Sol Food Gardens :) Highly recommend!!!”

What if we grow too much food?

We can donate it to the Backyard Harvest program through Mountain Roots Food Project!

Extra produce is harvested by Mountain Roots employees from your garden for free and goes straight to low income families. This helps support food security in the Gunnison Valley as well as providing nutritious food to people in need.

Take a step towards having a beautiful, Sol Food garden!
